Our beloved friend Harold Levine created the Bop Radio Group which offered internet radio stations highlighting different eras of music, and operated them for over ten years. Harold's listeners from all over the world enjoyed such stations as: Radio Bop, Radio Bop 60s, Radio Swing Worldwide, ROOTS of ROCK dot U S, RAB Radio 1, The TOP 40 Time Clock and Musicradio Bop 70s.
Mr. Levine shared his passion for music and radio with students at Ball High School in Galveston, Texas and was a mentor and advisor to the school's Media Arts Coach Mike Dudas.
Harold was also an accomplished businessman who began a career as a bank audit specialist at Haskins and Sells (now Deloitte) in Houston. Over his distinguished career, he had many years of experience in public accounting and controllership, primarily in the banking, food service, broadcasting, and legal industries. He served as controller for over 10 years at The Feldman Law Firm, LLP. Harold was a member of AICPA, Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Broadcast Cable Financial Management Association.
Sadly, Harold unexpectedly passed away on February 17, 2018. He left behind his beloved wife Martine, his son Jeffrey and daughter Lisa. After Harold's passing, it was the desire of the family to continue Harold's love for radio and broadcasting by donating his entire music library and radio formats to the Media Arts Program at Ball High School. The school pledged to continue broadcasting his stations (Bop Radio 1, Radio Bop, and Radio Swing Worldwide).
